Computer Gaming: How to build a bridge

This procedure can be used in either SimCity 3000 or SimCity 3000 Unlimited.

1. With the road or highway tool, start at least 5 tiles back from the water.
2. Drag over the water and at least 5 tiles down the other side.
3. The drop shadow should turn blue. If it does not turn blue then a bridge cannot be built there at all.
4. Let go of the mouse and the engineers will tell you how much it will cost to build a bridge. If you accept, they will try to build a bridge.
5. If they cannot, it might be because the location is too close to an existing building or there is a water pipe or subway tunnel in the way.
6. When building a city, its best to build the roads and bridges first to avoid this problem.
7. In the screenshot below, a bridge might be able to be built at this location.
